BARR Matthew T. Barr, age 5, of Sunbury, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at home surrounded by his family following three year battle against cancer. He was born on July 13, 2005 in Columbus and was the beloved and treasured son of Jeremie A. and Jennifer L. (Robson) Barr. Matthew was a special little boy with an infectious smile and laugh. He loved the Backyardigans, Imagination Movers, Little Einsteins, and of course Mickey Mouse. He knew almost every show by heart and could sing every song. Matthew enjoyed solving puzzles and reading picture books. He loved visiting his Daddy at the fire station and sitting in the different trucks. Matthew loved going to preschool and seeing his teachers and friends. He and his family are members of the Westerville Christian Church. In addition to his parents he is also survived by his three year old little brother, Darren; precious grandparents, Jack and Sue Barr of Sunbury, John and Marcia Robson of Solon; great-grandfather, Homer Barr of AZ; aunts and uncles, Robert Barr, Jodi and Everett Fleming, Brian and Krystel Robson, Cousins: Jessica Barr and Caitlin Jenkins; as well as numerous special friends all of whom supported him on his life's journey.

Harry TiIman "Boomer" Short, 59, of Reynoldsburg, Oh., died Saturday, April 11, 2009, while skydiving in Fairfield County. Harry was born on June 30, 1949, in Columbus, Oh., the son of Tilman Short and Wilma Jean Price Padilla. A graduate of Columbus South High School and Franklin University, he was a Sr. account manager for Symons Forming Products, Dayton Superior Corp. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves, serving from 1967-1973. Harry was a member of the American Legion Post 283 -and the Legion of Honor of the National Rifle Association and was a certified scuba diver. A skydiver for ten years, Harry was certified by the United States Parachute Association as a skydiver coach. He held an A, B, and C license and was only 50 jumps from the most advanced D license having, 450 jumps. He died doing what he loved best. Harry is survived by his wife, Sherri Mullen Short; his mother, Wilma Jean (Frank) Padilla of Grove City and his father, Tilman (Dorcas) Short of Columbus; a son, Lance R. (Karla) Short of Pataskala; three daughters, Casey Short (Brian) Hodnett of Columbus, Lisa Amos (Jimmy) Yudasz of St. Clairsville, and Lori Amos (Mark) Downey of Canal Winchester; a sister, Ruby Caroline Short Redding of Grove City; and grandchildren, Seth and Margot Short, Nick Aprile, Kourtney and Haley Gwilliams of Pataskala, Brian and Brenden Hodnett of Columbus, Tyler and Alexis Blackford and Jacob Downey of Canal Winchester, and Adelyna and Joey Yudasz of St. Clairsville; nephews, Alex Maust of Circleville, Thomas Mullen of Richmond, Va., Andrew Mullen of Fredricksburg, Va., James Mullen, USAF; a niece, Cara Mullen Sutherland of Virginia; aunts, Marie Bunch of Harriman, Tenn., Zola Short Haynes of Mebane, N.C., Nettie Short Byas of Dawsonville, Ga.; Willie Short Rigney of Crittenden, Ky.; uncles, Robert Short of Speedwell, Tenn., J.D. Short of Yorktown, Va. and Joe Crouch of Monticello, Ky.; and many cousins.
